' Item # 1 Code MUN 16 35A(1)(b) Compliance No Compliance Date 11/08/2010 IMMEDIATELY Description All rainwater shall be so drained from the roof /ground so as not to allow dampness inside the dwelling unit and so drained as 11/01/2010 of to allow standing water, water damage or other detrimental conditions in the dwelling. * *House is being reroofed. The ffected area was not finished. Last Updated Item # 2 Code 16- 33A(7) Compliance No Compliance Date 11/08/2010 IMMEDIATELY ' Description 11 dwelling units, vacant or occupied, shall be provided with working, approved smoke detectors one each in the basement 11/01/2010 first and second floors. Common area smoke detectors (basements) are the sole responsibility of the property owner. The . wner shall replace batteries once per year or at the beginning of new tenancies. Written responsibilities shall be given to the Last ccupants concerning smoke detectors. Updated Future violations will be immediately cited. Item # 3 Code MUN 16 34A(1)(a) Compliance No Compliance Date 11/08/2010 IMMEDIATELY Description Every dwelling unit shall have heating facilities which are capable of safely and adequately heating all habitable rooms and 11/01/2010 bathrooms to a temperature of at least 67 degrees F with an outside temperature of minus 15 degrees without forcing the heating system. All habitable rooms to be supplied with adequate heat sources. At inspection a radiator in one of the upstairs' Last bedrooms was not working. The radiator was also leaking water. Updated Item # 4 Code 16- 34A(3)(a) Compliance No Compliance Date 11/08/2010 IMMEDIATELY Description Every outlet and fixture shall be properly installed and shall be maintained in a good and safe working condition and shall be 11/01/2010 connected to the source of the electric power in a safe manner. Light in the basement was not operating properly (see photo). All open sockets shall have lightbulbs installed. Item # 6 Code MUN 16 35A(1)(c) Compliance No Compliance Date 12/01/2010 Description All windows in rental dwellings shall be capable of being opened and closed easily and remain open without the use of props. 11/01/2010 Windows shall be free of chipped, peeling paint, loose or missing glazing compound, broken panes of glass and be weather tight. All broken panes shall be replaced. At inspection a window in the basement blew in and broke. It was held in place by Last tape. A temporary repair shall be made immediately to provide security for the basement (install a plywood panel). Updated Summary It is the responsibility of every property owner to confirm compliance with these orders before the compliance date as specified. Please contact this office on or before the scheduled due date(s) to schedule a re- inspection of the property. Violations must be corrected and approved within 30 days unless otherwise noted. Call for reinspections prior to concealment and /or occupancy. Upon completing the corrections, the owner /contractor /agent must sign and date at the bottom of this notice and return it to the Inspection Services Division by the Compliance Date of 12/1/2010 Office hours for obtaining permits are Monday through Friday 7:30 -8:30 a.m. and 12:30 -1:30 p.m. or by appointment. To schedule inspections please call the Inspection Request line at 236 -5128 noting the address, permit number (when applicable), and the nature of what needs to be inspected.
