The initial complaint on August 2, 1983 was acted upon by
sending notice to the owner regarding violation of the
Property Maintenance .Code. There was duplication of effort
by Health and Housing Inspectors. The matter was eventually
referred by both of us to the City Attorney's office for
prosecution.
I believe that the Property Maintenance Code is the appropriate
ordinance to use to get this property cleaned up. Because the
Housing Inspector enforces the Property Maintenance Code
in a residential area, he agreed to take action in this matter.
I did stop by 36 Mill street and found the front yard entirely
acceptable now while . some building materials remain in the
back yard, i.e. there had been some improvement.
