Box 2061 Oshkosh, WI 54903 RE: 638 W. 20th Avenue Dear Mr. Christi: It has come to the attention of the department that a ground sign advertising Prudential Insurance Company has been installed in the south setback at the above address. This is a violation of the following sections of the Oshkosh Municipal Code: Section 30- 22(E)(1)(a): One (1) sign per dwelling unit shall be allowed in the R -18 and R -2 District not to exceed one square foot in area and containing only the name and address of the occupant. Section 30- 22(D)(1)(a): No signs shall hereafter be erected, altered, or relocated prior to obtaining a building pewit. Section 30- 3(29): A home occupation is any occupation within a dwelling and incidental thereto carried on by a member of the family residing g on the premises provided that no person not a resident of the premises is employed, no substantial amount of stock and trade is kept or commodities sold, no mechanical equipment shall be used other than such as is permissible for purely domestic purposes, no advertising sign is displayed and there is no other exterior indication that the building is being used for any purpose other than a dwelling.
