OSHKOSH HOLIDAY PARADE Approval to the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce to utilize North and South Main Street, from 6` Avenue and Pioneer Drive to Irving Avenue, on Thursday, November 11, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., for the annual Holiday Parade, in accordance with the attached letter of request. RACE FOR THE LIGHT Approval to Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services, Inc. to utilize Broad Street, Irving Avenue, Hazel Street, Siewert Trail, Pratt Trail, Merritt Avenue, Lakeshore Drive and Washington Avenue on Saturday, December 4, 2010, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., for their 8 :` Annual Race for the Light event, in accordance with the attached map and letter of request. Box 1130 Oshkosh, WI 54901 Dear Mr. Rohloff: The purpose of this letter is to request the use of Main Street (including Pioneer Drive) from 6th Avenue to Main and Irving for the 28th Annual Oshkosh Holiday Parade. The Parade will be held on Thursday night November 11th, 2010 beginning at 6:30 PM. We request this area around Pioneer Drive to be closed at 5PM and the conclusion of the parade at Main and Irving to conclude by 8PM. Box 1130 Oshkosh, WI 54901 Dear Mr. Rohloff: Re: parade Alternate route if Main Street is not complete by November 11th. I would request as an alternate route for the 28th annual Holiday Parade in the event Main Street is not open by Nov 11th the following route: Again we would set up staging area on Pioneer Drive and head West on 6th Street, turn South on Oregon Street to South Park Ave and then turn West on South Park and end parade at the corner of South Park and Ohio. (CADASI) will hold its eighth annual Race for the Light fun run /walk to raise money to support its mission. This family- oriented event's highlight is the Oshkosh Celebration of Lights in Menominee Park, a portion of the course winds through the lights in the park giving the participants a different view of this wonderful exhibit. CADASI is requesting the permission of the City of Oshkosh to use portions of Broad Street, Irving Avenue, Hazel Street, Siewert Trail, Pratt Trail, Merritt Avenue, Lakeshore Drive and Washington Avenue from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm on 4 December 2010. The course begins at the Boys and Girls Club Teen Center on Broad and heads north to Irving, turns east on Irving to Hazel, then north on Hazel to Siewert Trail. At Siewert Trail the course turns into the boat launch parking lot and enters Pratt Trail and proceeds through the Celebration of Lights. The course exits Menominee Park at the intersection of Merritt and Linde turning east on Merritt to Lakeshore Drive and then west on Washington to Broad turning north on Broad and finishing in front of the Boys and Girls Club. A map of the course is enclosed. Last year we set an all -time record of eight hundred fifty -six runners. For 2010 we are anticipating the support and participation of over one thousand (1,000) runners.
