Dear Mr. Rohloff,
TM
I am writing to request city services for the second annual Tour de Titan bike ride to be held on
Saturday, October 23, 2010 in conjunction with the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh's
Homecoming celebration.
This year's Tour de Titan bike ride which is open to the community will be an approximately
60 minute ride through the city in two by two formation departing at 11 a.m. from the UW
Oshkosh Student Recreation and Wellness Center (SRWC) and ending at our Tent City pregame
festival, south of the Oshkosh Sports Complex on Josslyn Street. The proposed route will go
through the campus and head toward the lake through Menomonee Park and then back to the
SRWC and /or Tent City. Please see attached proposed route.
We want to ensure a safe and successful event which is why we are requesting city assistance
have consulted with Special Operations Officer Harris and he feels the proposed route is
acceptable.
Tour de Titan organizers believe the purpose of the ride ties nicely to results of last year's
Oshkosh vision survey, specifically the fact that the majority of participants indicated they want
to see the creation of a more bicycle - friendly Oshkosh, adopt initiatives that promote healthy
choices for residents and pursue sustainabiiity efforts.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I can be reached at (920) 424 -0625 or

Dear Mark:
As part of the Inaugural Oshkosh Oktoberfest scheduled for October 1 -3, 2010 at the Leach
Amphitheater, we are requesting City permission for 1) German breed dogs allowed inside the
park for a dachshund "wiener dog" race and 2) permission for several (no more than five) motor
homes to park in the Leach parking lot overnight on Friday, Saturday and possibly Sunday night
during the fest.
There are several retired couples associated with the Wisconsin Polka Hall of Fame who have
volunteered to help us for the weekend. These couples travel throughout the state attending
these German - themed fests promoting Polka music and dance and assist many authentic
German festivals with Cultural / Informational activities. They typically stay in their campers on
festival grounds. I would like to be able to offer the parking lot to them so they will be available
to us all weekend, serving as overnight security and dependable volunteer help.
Please contact me at 920 - 379 -4220 if you have any questions or would like to discuss anything
related to Oktoberfest.
