Gohde, Assistant Director of Public Works August 5, 2010 Change Order #1 for Public Works Contract No. 09 -18 / Northeast Asphalt Inc./ Asphalt Paving and Underground Work (- $31,356.00) BACKGROUND Change Order #1 for Contract 09 -18 is scheduled for consideration by the Common Council at the August 10, 2010 meeting. The contract was originally awarded to Northeast Asphalt Inc., of Greenville, WI in September of 2009. ANALYSIS This change order adjusts the estimated bid quantities to the actual quantities installed during the construction. Reductions in the paving section were due to not needing as much stone base as estimated. Reductions in the storm sewer and sanitary sewer section were due to reduced quantities of items needed to match field conditions. FISCAL IMPACT Funding for the project is in the 2009 Capital Improvement Program Budgets. The original contract amount was $356,060.05. The change order amounts are - $26,374.15 for Paving, - $1,059.85 for Storm Sewer, and - $3,922.00 for Sanitary Sewer. RECOMMENDATIONS recommend approval of the Change Order # 1 to Contact No. 19 -18 in the amount of - $31,356.00 to Northeast Asphalt Inc. Respectfully Submitted, Steven M. Gohde Asst.
