It would appear that the building was built to the former Commercial Building Code. In checking the file it was noted that the plans were approved under the IBC, therefore the old code can not be used. I have enclosed copies of the IBC code requirements for your information. Item # 1 Code IBC 1003.3.3.3 Compliance No Compliance Date 06/16/2005 Description The maximum riser heights shall be 7.75 inches and the minimum tread depth shall be 10 inches. Item # 8 Code NOTE Compliance No Compliance Date 06/16/2005 Description Occupancy is not allowed until the occupancy permit is issued and all final inspections are approved. It was noted at the final inspection that unit #1 was occupied. Citations may be issued if this unit is not vacated. 5/17/05 Last Updated Summary The violations are required to be corrected within the next 30 days. Upon completing the corrections, the owner /contractor /agent must sign and date at the bottom of this notice and return it to the Inspection Services Division by the Compliance Date of 6/16/05 Office hours for obtaining permits are Monday through Friday 7:30 -8:30 a.m. and 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. or by appointment.
