This research included the history, relevancy, and efficacy of sustainability efforts in different Wisconsin communities. As co- president of the UW Oshkosh Campus Greens in 2008, I organized a campaign that brought attention to chemical use in Miller's Bay and offered alternative solutions. We also laid the foundation necessary for UW Oshkosh to become the first Fair Trade University in the United States in September of 2008. I wish to utilize my acquired skills, experience, and passion for the environment and the Oshkosh community by serving on the Oshkosh Sustainability Advisory Board. I know I can bring a lot to the table with the qualifications listed above, including groundbreaking research I conducted for Wisconsin sustainable communities in the baccalaureate program I designed for environmental advocacy. As a committed active citizen of the City of Oshkosh, I have been wanting to give more back to my community and make it an even better place to live since I ran for Common Council in 2006.
