The main breaker that has been provided in MSB/HVA is a Square D Masterpact breaker. type NW, and 2500A frame, with a 100% rating ping. A full function Mk rologic 6.OP trip unit with LSIG settings has been provided. Calibration has been accomplished by coordination with the largest feeder breaker, which is a type NC, 1200A frame / 1200A trip thermal magnetic breaker. Copies of the trip curves with the type NC breaker curve overlaid onto the type NW breaker are included. It has been determined that the following settings wN provide optimum protection and coon :Mahon: LT =1, LTD=4, ST=4, STD= .1/1sgT =OFF, INST=OFF. The suggested grand fault settings are GF =B (640A) and GF( .2 $EC / ON. These settings are conservation, since ground fault has not been provided on any of the feeder breakers and coordination is not applicable. Testing of the breaker trip settings has been successfully completed. On Friday, September 20, the Ground Fault "Test to Trip" procedure was accomplished. Temporary generator power was provided and connected to the circuit breaker Trip Unit. When the ground fault push to trip Test button was depressed, activating the GF circuit, the breaker did trip. Final testing of the trip unit settings was completed on Tuesday, October 1. The trip unit was tested in accordance with the instructions for Test kit S33594. It was verified that the type NW breaker would trip (within tolerance) at the callbrated trip settings. A copy of the instruction bulletin with notations is eking included as documentation.
