All habitable rooms must be provided with 8% light and '3.5% ventilation. Bedrooms
located on the second floor or below ground level must be provided with egress windows
in addition to. [he light and ventilation requirements. Basement windows ge als0
required to have window well areas in accordance with ILHR 21.03.
Garage spaces shall be separated from the dwelling unit in accordance with ILHR 21.08.
The door and frame assembly between the dwelling unit and an attached garage shall be
labeled by an indePendent teSting agency as having a minimum fire-resistive rating of 20
minutes. All drywall joints are required to be taped/sealed unless the joints are fitted so
that the gap is no more than a dimes thickness_(1/20-inch) and backed by solid wood or
drywall with the joints staggered.
All penetrations in exterior.walls, must. be s. eg~led prior to the insUlation inspection. This
includes holes in the. top and bOttom plates, gaps around heating ducts, and holes in the
return air spaces.
H)rdromassage tUbs are required to have an access panel to motor. The access panel must
be accessible without removing the £mish of the house.
All Overfrming must be designed by the trUss manufacturer, according to standards set
by the trUss plate institute, or strUctural calculations must be provided prior to the rough
building inspection.
TrUss plans must be submitted and approved prior to framing the roof.
TrUss plans including the trUss layout must be provided on site at the rough building
inspection. In addition to the truss plans, microlam calculations mus[he provided on site
at the rough building inspection for all micro!ams~with point loads on them.

Attached isa copy 0fthe final' inspection checklist. At the tinal'insPeCti0n all items on
this list must be completed to avoid the $100 re-inspection fee per inspection.

When requesting final inspections please note that a minimum of 2 days n0tice'is needed
from the time the inspection is ready. Furniture is only all°~ed ~0 be placed iff the-cCntei~
of the garage floor and a minimum of a 3' p~ithway must be provided around the Walls of
the garage. At the final inspection no furniture Or personal belongings are allowed in the
house. Appliances such as the stove, refrigerator, Washer, and dryer are not to be set in
Place due to the electrical inspector needing to look at the power serving the apPliances.
A 6' stepladder must be on site at the fmal inspection tO provide access to the attic.

The building placard must remain on the patio door or on a kitchen window until ' -
occupancy is approved. Occupancy is' not allowed prior to the placard having all of the
final inspection approved stickers on the backside. If occupancy occurs prior to the
inspections being approved daily citations will be issued with no fUrther notice being
given.
