ROLL CALL APPROVAL OF MARCH 28, 2001 MINUTES I: 935 CUMBERLAND TRAIL Caroline Auler, owner, is requesting variances to the City’s Building Code. Per Oshkosh Building Code Section 7-33, persons may file an appeal to the Board of Zoning Appeals as provided in the City Zoning Ordinance, Section 30-6(B)(2)(a) if an equally good or better form of construction is proposed. All appeals shall be accompanied by supporting data. II: 1504 KNAPP ST Gerald Staerkel, owner, is requesting variances to the City’s Building Code. Per Oshkosh Building Code Section 7-33, persons may file an appeal to the Board of Zoning Appeals as provided in the City Zoning Ordinance, Section 30-6(B)(2)(a) if an equally good or better form of construction is proposed. All appeals shall be accompanied by supporting data. III: 1100 SMITH AVENUE Appleton Neon Sign, applicant, for Oshkosh Area School District, owner, requests a variance to have a bulletin board sign that will be 50 sq. ft. in size; whereas Section 30- 37(F)(1)(c) of the Zoning Ordinance allows one bulletin board sign not to exceed 24 sq. ft. in size. IV: 658 MONROE STREET Jimmie Brown, applicant and owner, requests a variance to park in a driveway that does not lead to a garage or uncovered parking spaces; whereas Section 30-36(C)(5)(a) of the Zoning Ordinance requires parking spaces for a single family home to be in a garage or in code compliant uncovered spaces. V: 2225 MINNESOTA STREET Allied Building Products, applicant for World Packaging, owner, requests a variance to construct a 6’ high solid fence with a front yard setback of 8’; whereas Section 30- 35(E)(2) of the City of Oshkosh Zoning Ordinance requires that fences located in front yards be less than 4’ high and that fences within 15’ of the front lot line be less than 50 percent solid. VI: 2535/2545 WISCONSIN STREET Mark Fasel, applicant and owner, requests a variance for a dwelling with a 7’3” side yard setback; whereas Section 30-19(B)(3)(b) of the City of Oshkosh Zoning Ordinance requires a side yard setback of 7’ 6”. VII: 1126 FILLMORE AVENUE Roger Coats, applicant and owner, requests the following variances: a parking space located between the building and the rear lot line, whereas Section 30-36(5)(a)(iii) of the City of Oshkosh Zoning Ordinance does not allow uncovered parking spaces between the garage and the rear lot line; a 28’ wide driveway that will be wider than the garage, whereas Section 30-36(5)(b)of the City of Oshkosh Zoning Ordinance does not allow a driveway to be wider than the garage and no more than 24 feet in width at the lot line; and a 168 square foot utility structure, whereas Section 30-19(4)(e)(iii) of the City of Oshkosh Zoning Ordinance requires that utility structures not exceed 100 square feet.
