Trish,
Enclosed is a map of Menominee Park and the layout of the Waterfront Art Festival.
The Waterfront Art Festival will feature 75 -100 artists / crafters. The booths will be located on both sides of the
outer walking path located at the far east end of Pratt Trail (see map). Our information tent will be on the west
side of Pratt Trail along with 3 -4 food vendors. We will not need electricity. Food vendors will be required to have
their own generators. We will have artists unload their wares, then move their vehicles outside of Pratt Trail so
that visitors have access. We hope to use East Parkway Avenue for artist vehicles and Hazel Street and Merritt
Avenue for artist parking.
If you have any questions regarding the Waterfront Art Festival, please feel free to contact me at (920) 739 -3542

Subject: use of Menominee Park August 7 and 8, 2010
Dear Trish:
I would also like to reserve Menominee Park for August 7 & 8, 2010. We would setup Saturday
August 7, 2010. The tournament would be Sunday August 8, 2010. We would not require a
shelter but electricity which the power box is located close to our setup area. We again would
request some garbage cans to assure we can leave the area clean when we leave the park.
We have insurance and will provide the city of proof of insurance as we have in the past. Can
you provide me the information on what can be done as far as the launch fees for tournaments? Is
it possible to get a day launch permit for the tournaments?

The Central Wisconsin Auto collectors is planning a car show at South park on Sunday
June 27, 2010. For the last ten years we have had our car show at the park and has been a
successful day. The proceeds of our show go to the Boys and Girls club of Oshkosh and
to the veterans museum. This has become a popular community event and we are
thankful to work with the city to put on this event.
Our club has a million dollar liability insurance coverage. We have around 5000
spectators through the coarse of the day. About 350 cars for the show and about 30
vendors in the flea market. The Boys and Girls club provide the food for the event.
I thank you for your continued support of this community event.

Dear Mark,
We are pleased to have begun planning for the third annual Race the Lake Bike Event, scheduled
for Sunday, August 22, 2010. Race the Lake —a 90 mile bike race around Lake Winnebago
strives for a new definition for a bike event: to combine professional, triathlon, recreational and
new cyclists and unite the communities surrounding Lake Winnebago. This one of a kind event
captured the spirit of the participants, volunteers and communities as it succeeded to put on one
of the most successful and safe bike races in the United States.
The event begins at 5:40 a.m. in Fond du lac and cyclists come through Oshkosh only between
6:30 and 7:25 a.m. This has been a very smooth process as we plan with the police well ahead
of time the intersections they have designated they will cover and the intersections that will be
covered by our volunteers. There are frequent meetings between all three counties including,
sheriff, police, public works and medical teams. There are no bands, churches, starts or finishes
that impact Oshkosh. This is a very low key event due to the time of the day.
In the last three years we have worked Wisconsin Department of Transportation and the
Wisconsin Department of Tourism as the race creates a huge impact on tourism dollars within
Northeastern Wisconsin. We also work with all three ARC Charities: Fond du Lac, Winnebago
and the Fox Cities as the beneficiary. I will also work closely with Officer Matt Harris.
I will be happy to attend any city board meeting to discuss any issues or details.
If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me. You can reach me
at 920- 38 -8741 or on my cell phone at 920 -562 -1885.

"Race the Lake" Lake Winnebago
Sponsorship introduction
Lake Winnebago is one of the most well known inland lakes in
the Midwest and one of the largest lakes In the United States.
Local residents are well acquainted with its majestic beauty as
well as practical use for water recreation. A bike race around
Lake Winnebago is a biker's dream and will ignite the human
spirit for the entire community. The event's title "Race the Lake"
was chosen for a very good reason. It is an event designed
for the local, recreational cyclist to race the lake as an individual
challenge, not against others. Simultaneously, it will also
incorporate a professional, timed and competitive event
for the elite cyclist.
This event will encompass all athletic abilities to ensure the
community and sponsors that it will be a mainstay and future
"household" word with a massive appeal. As a professional race
with a prize money purse of $10,000 and elite athlete recruitment,
the event will draw publicity from the sports media. In addition to
professional cyclists in attendance, the open class citizen category
creates publicity from regional, health /lifestyle segments of the media.
Midwest Sports Event will oversee the planning and execution of
all race logistics and operations. They work closely with all public
safety officials and organize the communities surrounding the lake
for the "Race the Lake ". With 20 Wars experience in creating and
organizing events, along with the support of the Wisconsin Bureau
of Tourism, this guarantees the success and long lasting event
growth and pride.
5 Ws of "Race the Lake"
Who? - Midwest Sports Events, the Wisconsin Bureau of Tourism and TEAM 4 -
Racing to Fight Women's FOUR Cancers, have teamed togetherto make this an annual,
highly publicized national bike race. Midwest Sports Events has the experience of executing
an event of this size because of their numerous experiences organizing Half Ironmans and
marathon events. The Wisconsin Bureau of Tourism knows the benefits event can generate,
as it will create a strong financial impact for the state, many of its cities, counties and
communities. In the past TEAM 4 has worked with Midwest Sports Events and continue to
find it important; women's cancer are still on the rise.
What? _ Race the Lake". ..Bike racing for professionals and recreational riders has grown
to be one of the most popular events nationally! This multi -city, multi- county bike race will
hold 5 -8 hours of intense competition for elite athletes and recreation for the bikers as they
travel through over 20 different communities. Bike races showcase the professional athletes'
endurance, commitment and power and at the same time the determination and challenge
for the every day cyclist.
Where? -- Lake Winnebago...One of the largest inland lakes in the United States and the most
popular lake in Wisconsin will be the 90 mile course for the event. This course includes:
Fond du Lac,Winnebago Outagamie and Calumet Counties... "Race the Lake "will stage the
dramatic start and finish at Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac. Thousands of bikers will begin their
journey out of the park and head north hugging the lake as they travel through Winnebago,
Calumet then finishing in Fond du Lac again at Lakeside Park. Riders will see a plethora of sites
to include The Lighthouse in Oshkosh, the climb up "High Cliff "at High Cliff State Park in Sherwood,
and the down the panoramic east shoreline of Lake Winnebago.
When? - August ...This late summer event sits at the ideal date for bikers to participate as they
will have the spring and early summer months to prepare for an event of this size. Early start!
The race will begin at 7 a.m. to ward off the summer heat and avoid the traffic that will increase
throughout the day. This is also an ideal time of the year because there is lull in the media;
"Race the Lake "comes after many summer festivals and before the school year begins.
Why? - "Race the Lake" is established to create awareness for Women's cancers, publicity for sponsors
and the state of Wisconsin while promoting a healthy lifestyle for all participants and surrounding
communities. The "Race the Lake" Is much more than a bike race, not only will it become a major
fundraiser to help fight cancer, it will be an annual event that attracts thousands of spectators,
visitors, professional athletes and the media each year.

BIKE COURSE
Lake Winnebago, being one of the largest inland bodies of water in the United States, naturally
creates a spectacular venue. The start at Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac is an ideal staging location
with accessible areas for the early morning staging of the event. A Lighthouse located in the park is
an appropriate icon for cyclists who will "navigate" the shoreline that day.
The ride will start along the quiet marshland by the lake on Hwy 45 and follow near the shoreline of
Lake Winnebago to Oshkosh. It will then bustle into Historic Oshkosh, past the downtown Opera
House Square, turn at the Sundial Fountain and then head east to the shoreline at Menominee
Parkway and Zoo. It will continue on Hwy A through Neenah to Riverside Park, which will be one of
the major rest stops. Spectators who are following the participants in their vehicles will fill Riverside
Park and other major rest stops.
Continuing into Menasha, the race will go past the downtown square and water fountain. Leaving
Menasha, cyclists will take a designated lane on Hwy 114. They will then ride past the spacious North
Shore Golf Course and then to one of the most naturally beautiful places in Wisconsin, High Cliff
State Park. Part of the Niagara Escarpment, the park rests on limestone bluffs towering 225 feet
above the lake and with spectacular overlooks.
The race will continue down the east side of the lake traveling on Lake Shore Drive, past Calumet
County Park and then encounter a very challenging hill with a 17 %grade. The "King of the Hill
award will be given to the first biker to arrive at the top. The east side of the lake offers a panoramic
view and is known for its exquisite sunrises and sunsets. Bikers will go by Sunset Beach, east to
Calumetville and out to the countryside of Brothertown and St Peter. Nearing the end, the course will
wind through the southeast corner of the lake, climbing high roads. Finally, cyclists will return into
the east side of Fond du Lac, at Lakeside Park; an appropriate end point because the meaning of
Fond du Lac is "foot of the lake."
"Race the Lake" bike course goes through numerous cities and
guarantees increased visibility for your sponsorship...

We are writing to request Menominee Sailboat docks for the 15` Annual Walleye Warm -
up Tournament being held on May 29, 2010. This tournament has been successfully held
for over 24 years. We are a small tournament of local residents and boost on our success
of a high percentage of fish returned into the local system with the assistance of the
Walleyes for Tomorrow release efforts. With the use of the sailboat docks this can be
done very quickly allowing our tournament a successful release. Immediately following
the contestant's fish being weighted they head to tournament headquarters for the
presentation of awards. We would also need to have an electrical outlet to be available to
run the scale and the computer.
Please contact Randy Harwood at 920 -426 -1370 if you have any questions or concerns.
Again, thank you for allowing this tournament to be a success.
Sincerely,
Randy Harwood
Tournament Director
