HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes CITY OF OSHKOSH REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY MINUTES May 19, 2004 4:30 PM PRESENT: Thomas Belter, John Bermingham Jr., Karen Matze, Robert Pung, John Ruppenthal EXCUSED: Mark Harris, Sheldon Lasky STAFF: Jackson Kinney, Director of Community Development; Susan Kepplinger, Principal Planners; Darlene Brandt, Recording Secretary The meeting was called to order at 4:30 pm by Chairman Ruppenthal. Approval of Consent Agenda Motion by Bermingham, seconded by Pung, to approve the Consent Agenda. Motion carried 5-0. Resolution 04-03 Establish Fair Market Value; Authorize Purchase /126 W. 9th Ave. Mr. Kinney noted the RDA had previously approved of the necessity to purchase this property. A purchase price has been negotiated by staff and the RDA is now being asked to approve of the purchase. Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds are available for this purpose. Motion by Belter to move approval of Resolution 04-03 Establish Fair Market Value, Authorize Purchase for 126 W. 9th Avenue. Seconded by Pung.. Motion carried 6-0. Resolution 04-03 Award Bid /Concrete Paving – Marion Rd./Pearl Ave. Redevelopment Project Area Mr. Kinney noted that two sections of right-of-way within the Marion Rd./Pearl Ave. Redevelopment Project Area are scheduled for concrete paving this year – section of Dawes St. running south off Pearl Ave., and an unnamed north/south street running south from Pearl Ave. to Marion Road. The City obtained the bids as part of the overall City paving contract. Funds were previously budgeted for this work and transferred to the RDA's escrow account. Motion by Bermingham to approve Resolution 04-04 Award Bid /Concrete Paving – Marion Rd./Pearl Ave. Redevelopment Project Area. Seconded by Pung. Motion carried 5-0. Other Business Mr. Kinney requested the RDA consider holding a special meeting in June for a presentation by the Concord Group for Parcel G within the Marion Rd./Pearl Ave. Redevelopment Area. An Executive Session is also being requested to discuss proposals from a couple of developers who have expressed interest in other lots within the Marion Rd./Pearl Ave. area. It was the consensus to hold a meeting in June. Staff will survey RDA members to establish a date. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at approximately 4:45 pm.
