CITY OF OSHKOSH LANDMARKS COMMISSION MINUTES JULY 11, 2007 COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Paul Arnold, Todd Clark, Shirley Mattox, Arlene Schmuhl, Burk Tower AD HOC MEMBERS PRESENT: none EXCUSED:
Harold Buchholz, Carol Esslinger, Bev Harrington STAFF: Susan Kepplinger OTHERS PRESENT: none CALL TO ORDER Acting Chair Burk Tower called the meeting to order and a quorum was declared
present. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Paul Arnold moved approval of the June minutes with the correction of the spelling of Steve Whittman. Arlene Schmuhl seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
PROPOSED FAÇADE ALTERATION, 224 STATE STREET Paul Arnold reported that the northwest balcony bracket has been repaired and it appears that additional masonry maintenance and repair work
has been done. RIVERSIDE CEMETERY There was a brief discussion regarding the possible establishment of a Board dedicated to Riverside Cemetery and the upcoming special Common Council
workshop on Boards and Commissions. E NEWSLETTER Arlene Schmuhl asked Commissioners to to forward ideas for future newsletters to her. NATIONAL REGISTER NOMINATION TRAINING There was
nothing to report on this item. PLANNING CALENDAR REVIEW Commissioners agree to add consideration of budget request at an appropriate time in the 2008 calendar. PRESERVATION MONTH ACTIVITIES
There was no discussion on this item.
INTENSIVE SURVEY UPDATE Staff reported that the script for the video is almost complete and production will begin soon. LOCAL LANDMARKING Paul Arnold reported that he had not been contacted
by the current owners of the Whittman house on Hubbard. Commissioners agreed to wait until the August meeting to make a decision on landmarking this property. ANNUAL REPORT Harold Buchholz
was not present to work on this. REDESIGNATION OF 226 HIGH There was no action on this item. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, Arlene moved the meeting be adjourned. Todd
