CITY OF OSHKOSH LANDMARKS COMMISSION MINUTES MARCH 14, 2007 COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Paul Arnold, Harold Buchholz, Todd Clark, Carol Esslinger, Bev Harrington, Shirley Mattox, Arlene Schmuhl
AD HOC MEMBERS PRESENT: None OTHERS PRESENT: None EXCUSED: None STAFF: Susan Kepplinger CALL TO ORDER Chair Harold Buchholz called the meeting to order and a quorum was declared present.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES Arlene Schmuhl moved approval of the February minutes. Paul Arnold seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. CERTIFIED LOCAL GOVERNMENT (CLG) PROGRAM Staff reported
that CLG application will be completed and submitted in the near future. RIVERSIDE CHAPEL Arlene Schmuhl reported that she had spoken with a reporter for the Northwestern regarding Riverside
Cemetery and cultural tourism. COMMISSIONER TRAINING Staff reported that State Historical Society staff would be available to provide training on the National Register nomination process
Saturday April 21. Several Commissioners indicated they would be interested and available on that date in the afternoon. Staff will follow up with staff of the City of Neenah as they
have several Landmarks Commission members who are also interested. PLANNING CALENDAR REVIEW No changes were made. REPORTS OF WORKING COMMITTEES Library Exhibit There was no report on
this. Survey Update There was no report on this.
Local Landmark Candidates Staff was directed to begin the process of redesignating the James House at 226 High Avenue under the revised Ordinance. There was discussion regarding possible
landmarking of the former residence of Steve Whitman at 1856 Hubbard. TAX CREDIT PROJECT FINANCING Staff is working with Associated Bank on this informational presentation for owners
occupants of properties listed on the National Register. ANNUAL REPORT There was discussion regarding the need for the annual report and who was responsible for writing it. Staff will
look into this matter. APRIL AGENDA ITEMS The following items are to be included in the April agenda; redesignation of the property at 226 High, and the enewsletter. ADJOURNMENT Carol
