Review Draft of Council Workshop Presentation on Inspection Services. Jackson Kinney and Allyn Dannhoff presented a draft of the upcoming Council Workshop presentation on the Inspection Services Division. The presentation gives an overview of the Division, its scope of responsibilities and activities and outlines the efforts the Division has undertaken in response to past concerns. Discussion and suggestions ensued on areas/elements that might be added or refined in this presentation. Review Minutes of April 4, 2007 meeting The minutes were approved. Emergency Illumination Plan Submittal Policy This policy was sent to the Committee Members for review and comment earlier this summer. Allyn asked the Committee if there were any comments or concerns. Pete LeCompte and one of his coworkers had previously responded and given support for the policy. The committee gave support for the policy, citing it the reasons for creation contained in the Policy statement. Discuss/Review Issues/Concerns Committee Members are aware of. An inquiry was made about Foam Products on roofs as to whether the State has made any changes or new rulings on this topic. Allyn advised the direction from the State has not changed and the manufacturers of the foam products in question have not secured testing approvals for the manner in which they are proposed to be used. An inquiry was made on the status of Mechanical Screening. Allyn advised that Planning has revised the application of mechanical screening, has implemented the revised criteria and adoption of the revisions will be forthcoming. Meeting adjourned at 3:45 pm.
