RE: Amend Initial Resolution 10-56 for Special Assessments for Paving, Sidewalk, Driveway
and Utilities/ Second Local Street Concrete Paving Program.
BACKGROUND
This resolution is to amend the streets and distances assessments can be levied for second local street
concrete paving project. Three streets are changed. The revised streets are Grand Stree t, Lincoln
Avenue and Oak Street. The assessable work will include concrete pavement, sidewalk, driveway aprons,
sanitary sewer laterals (new and relay), storm sewer laterals and new water laterals
ANALYSIS
The resolution allows City Staff to proceed wit h preparing assessments for the abutting properties. A
public hearing and final resolution need to be approved by the Council prior the assessments being levied
on the properties.
FISCAL IMPACT
Assessments allow the City to recover a portion of the cost s associated with projects from benefiting
properties. Funding for the projects is included in the 20 10 Capital Improvement Program in the Street,
Storm Sewer, Sanitary Sewer and Water Main sections.
RECOMMENDATIONS
I recommend approval of this resolution to amend the initial resolution.
