WEEKLY NEWSLETTER
Subject:
As you know, Mark is out-of-town, attending a Wisconsin City/County Management Association
conference in Wausau. We received several pieces of information this week that I thought I would
pass along to you today.
The first item I'm enclosing is a letter from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation concerning
the North Main Street reconstruction project. As you can see from the letter, construction will begin
th
on Monday, March 8, and continue until its slated completion in November of this year. The letter
explains the two phases of this project. The DOT has set up a field office at 530 North Main Street
during the construction project, and weekly informational meetings have been scheduled at that
location to discuss project-related details and the project schedule of operations.
Speaking of the North Main Street reconstruction, the next item I'm enclosing comes to you from the
Oshkosh Area Economic Development Corporation and Business Improvement District. It's a packet
of information they've designed for businesses and residents affected by this reconstruction project. As
explained, it is a resource guide containing answers to downtown construction questions, tips for
keeping customers and employees informed, and includes brochures with project details, and contact
and resource cards. These packets are being distributed to all affected businesses today, and if you
know of anyone who would like one, please have them contact the Chamber of Commerce.
The next item I'm enclosing is the latest report of the hotel/motel room tax for the city.
th
Insofar as minutes are concerned, I'm enclosing the following: The minutes of the February 10 Board

th
Utility Commission meeting; the meeting notice, agenda and background material for the March 9
th
Traffic Review Advisory Board meeting; the minutes of the February 8 Advisory Park Board
th
meeting; and the minutes of the February 10 Landmarks Commission meeting.
The last item I'm enclosing is the latest issue of The Crime Reporter, sponsored by TRICOM:
Winnebago County citizens, businesses and law enforcement working together on crime prevention,
health and safety.
If you have any questions concerning any of this material, please feel free to contact this office.
