I. 1806 MURDOCK AVENUE
John C. Webb, applicant/owner, requests a variance to create a lot with less than 100 feet of depth and
less than 7,200 square feet in area whereas Section 30 -19 (B) (1) (ii) of the city of Oshkosh Zoning
Ordinance requires a minimum of 100 feet of depth and Section 30 -19 (B) (1) (iii) requires a minimum
of 7,200 square feet in area.
John C. Webb, 1806 W. Murdock, stated he has requested a variance to create a lot because he would
like to build a small family dwelling or sell the property in the future.
Gary Holdren, 1817 Plymouth St., stated he was concerned about a dwelling being built so it would not
have a negative impact regarding drainage problems on his lot. Vice Chairman Roehlig explained the
Board of Appeals could not deal with those issues, however this request would also have to go in front
of the Plan Commission, and he would have a chance to express his concerns at that time.
Motion by Goers to approve a variance to create a lot with less than 100 feet of depth and
less than 7,200 square feet in area. Seconded by Husman. Motion carried 4 -0.
Regarding finding of the fact, Mr. Roehlig stated this would not have a negative impact on the
neighborhood, and the request was the minimum necessary to make the lot buildable. Mrs. Goers added
the hardship was not self created.
