Correction Notice
Dear Bruce:
Russ and Phyllis Moss contacted me in regard to your Notice
to them. dated February 5, 1993. The Notice states that they are
using their R -1 zoned property as a manufacturing business.
That, in fact, is not the case. Every person with a hobby of
woodworking has paints, lacquers and equipment on their premises
in approximately the same volume as Mr. Moss has. He uses only
equipment which is used in any other home, that being a tablesaw,
air compressor and handtools. Mr. Moss estimates that he works
in his home occupation approximately four (4) to five (5) hours
per week. In reviewing the code definition of home occupation,
it appears that he is in complete compliance with the code. If
you feel otherwise or wish to further inspect the premises,
please contact me.

OTHER COMMENTS.
The use of 1764 Skyview Avenue as a manufacturing business, utilizing paints,
lacquers, and other industrial materials, in the detached residential garage
is contrary to the permitted uses in an R -1 Single Family Residence District.
If the industrial /manufacturing use is not discontinued immediately, this
issue will be turned over to the City Attorney's office for the appropriate
legal action to insure compliance with the City's Zoning Ordinance.
