Item # 1 Code MUN 16- 33A(7) Compliance No Compliance Date 09/05/2008 IMMEDIATELY Description II dwelling units, vacant or occupied, shall be provided with working, approved smoke detectors one each in the basement first and second oors. Common area smoke detectors (basements) are the sole responsibility of the property owner. The owner shall replace batteries once 08/29/2008 er year or at the beginning of new tenancies. Written responsibilities shall be given to the occupants conceming smoke detectors. Item # g Code MUN 16- 33A(6) Compliance No Compliance Date 09/28/2008 Description Stairways in one and two family dwellings shall be in sound condition, equipped with proper handrails & guardrails installed in accordance with COMM 21.04 , safe to use and shall be equipped with treads and risers reasonably uniform. 08/29/2008 The open staircase to the basement shall have code compliant guardrails and handrails. Upon completing the corrections, the owner /contractor /agent must sign and date at the bottom of this notice and return it to the Inspection Services Division by the Compliance Date of 9/28/2008 Office hours for obtaining permits are Monday through Friday 7:30 -8:30 a.m. and 12:30 -1:30 p.m. or by appointment.
