Dear City Council Members:
This letter is to request assistance from the Oshkosh Police Department with our

The purpose of the Festival Foods Turkey Trots are to promote a healthy community,
financially benefit local charities and attract positive media attention to the grocery
retailer. In 2008, Festival Foods launched Turkey Trots in Green Bay, Appleton and

communities. This year, the event expands to Manitowoc and Fond du Lac.
This event, now entering its second year, promotes community wellness and financially
benefits the YMCA's and Boys & Girls Clubs throughout northeast Wisconsin.

ABOUT THE OSHKOSH TURKEY TROT
Last year the Oshkosh Turkey Trot took place at Festival Foods on Westhaven but the
large crowd (nearly 1,200 people) surpassed the capacity of the grocery store.
This year, we would like to host the Oshkosh Turkey Trot at Oshkosh West High School
with the registration and packet pick up taking place in the gymnasium.
