PLEASE NOTE the City of Oshkosh Board of Appeals will meet on
November 22, 2000 at 3:30 PM
in Room 404 at the Oshkosh City Hall to consider the following agenda.
ROLL CALL
APPROVAL OF NOVEMBER 8, 2000 MEETING MINUTES
I: 258 W 7TH AVENUE
This is an appeal of a requirement of the City’s Building Code. Per Oshkosh Building Code Section 7-
33, persons may file an appeal to the Board of Zoning Appeals as provided in the City Zoning
Ordinance, Section 30-6(B)(2)(a) if an equally good or better form of construction is proposed. All
appeals shall be accompanied by supporting data.
II: 1411 S. MAIN STREET
Grant and Nancy Schultz, applicants and Matt & Bonnie Gams, owners, request variances to construct
a detached garage in the side yard with a 2.5’ side yard setback and which detached garage will only
provide 2 parking spaces; whereas Section 30-19(B)(4)(c) of the City of Oshkosh Zoning Ordinance
requires a 7.5’ side yard setback, and Section 30-36(C)(5)(a) of the City of Oshkosh Zoning Ordinance
requires the property to have at least 4 parking spaces.
III: 819 JOHN AVENUE
Jeff Wicinsky, applicant and owner, requests a variance to construct a parking lot with a 7.5’ rear yard
setback; whereas Section 30-36(C)(5)(a) of the City of Oshkosh Zoning Ordinance requires a 25’ rear
yard setback.
