PLEASE NOTE the City of Oshkosh Board of Appeals will meet on
JANUARY 12, 2000 at 3:30 PM
in Room 404 at the Oshkosh City Hall to consider the following
agenda.
ROLL CALL
APPROVAL OF NOVEMBER 24, 1999 MINUTES
I: 1390 FAIRFAX STREET
Patrick Boushon, applicant/owner, requests a variance to construct a 9' wide x 25' long addition to an
existing drive which will make the drive wider than the garage and within 33" of the side lot line
whereas Section 30-36(C)(5)(b) requires that driveways not exceed the width of the garage.
II: 1350 FAIRFAX STREET
Ryon Haase, applicant and owner requests a variance to construct a 7' 9” wide x 25' long addition to an
existing drive which will make the drive wider than the garage and within 3’ of the side lot line
whereas Section 30-36(C)(5)(b) requires that driveways not exceed the width of the garage.
III: 1137 WISCONSIN STREET
Tony Litjens, applicant/owner, requests a variance to construct a parking lot with 6’ side yard setbacks
and a 7’ rear yard setback; whereas Section 30-35(B)(1)(c) requires transitional side yard setbacks of
19’ 3” and a transitional rear yard setback of 25’.
IV: 525 W. 18TH AVENUE
Glenn Griggers, applicant, Ralph Hoppe, owner, requests a variance to create two lots that do not meet
the current standards for single family lot development; whereas Section 30-17(B)(1)(a) requires a lot
to be a minimum of 60' wide, 100' in depth and 7,200 square feet.

V: 643/645 STARBOARD COURT
Russell Williams, applicant/owner, requests variances to construct two driveways which are wider than
the detached garages whereas Section 30-36(C)(5)(b) requires that driveways not exceed the width of
the detached garage.
VI: 2200 UNIVERSAL STREET
Curwood, Inc., applicant/owner, requests a variance to construct a 7' high fence with a 0' setback
whereas Section 30-35(E)(4) allows fences greater than 6' if they meet the setbacks of the principal
structure.
VII: 2505 BADGER STREET
Wisconsin Public Service, applicant/owner, requests a variance to construct a 7' high fence with a 0'
setback; whereas Section 30-35(E)(4) allows fences greater than 6' if they meet the setbacks of the
principal structure.
VIII : 43 E. 10TH AVENUE
Everett Industrial Building Supply, applicant/owner, requests variances to allow parking spaces with a
0' setback from the street and not to pave newly constructed driveways; whereas Section 30-36(A)(10)
requires a parking lot that abuts a public street have a 5’ green area and that parking and loading areas
be paved.
IX : VACANT LOT, S. KOELLER ST., BETWEEN 1750 & 1800 S. KOELLER ST.
Dennis Miller, applicant, Carousel of Oshkosh, owner, requests variances for a driveway with 0’ and
5’ side yard setbacks and a sign with a 2.5’ side yard setback; whereas Section 30-34(D)(4)(b) requires
15' side yard setbacks.
