Keith,
Per your request, here is the information for the required toilet rooms and locations.
Code Calculation:
259,607 S.F. 30 8654
8654/500 17
This would require 9 toilets men and 9 toilets women
After demolition of existing food court toilet rooms, you are left with 7 public toilets
(men) and 6 public toilets (women). This would then require 2 more public toilets for
men, and 3 more public toilets for women.
Option 1:
Vanity Fair installs public toilet rooms; 1 public toilet for women and 1 public toilet for
men (this is not required by code). The mall is then left to provide public restrooms that
would include 1 toilet for men and 2 toilets for women. To cover the 500' travel distance
(max.) required by code the mall would have to locate the toilet rooms somewhere within
the old Nike space.
Option 2:
Vanity Fair does not provide public toilet rooms. The mall will then need to provide 2
public toilets for men and 3 public toilets for women. In order to cover the 500' travel
distance of this option, these public toilet rooms would have to be located at the end of
either building at Universal Drive.
