Home My WebLink About09-345AUGUST 25, 2009 09 -345 RESOLUTION (CARRIED 7 -0 LOST LAID OVER WITHDRAWN ) PURPOSE: ESTABLISH FEE SCHEDULE FOR PARKING UTILITY INITIATED BY: TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, the City of Oshkosh has previously established a Parking Utility in order to manage public parking; and WHEREAS, Sections 27- 46(C), 27 -49(E) and 27 -51(A) of the Oshkosh Municipal Code gives the Common Council authority to establish fees for parking permits; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the attached parking rate schedule be adopted. CITY OF OSHKOSH PARKING UTILITY PARKING RATE SCHEDULE MARCH 1, 2009 THROUGH FEBRUARY 28, 2010 PERMITS (SECTION 27 -46) Valid in blue- banded meters and spaces designated as "permit parking ". The purpose of these combined Council actions is to remove ordinance language which stipulates specific fees for parking permits and leased spaces, and instead have those fees approved by Council resolution. This approach makes it simpler for the Council, upon recommendation from the Parking Utility, to change parking fees in the future. I believe this format is also more user - friendly to parking patrons. The proposed rate schedule matches rates currently in the municipal code. City of Oshkosh — Department of Transportation
