Problem /Violation: of 18 79.1A, failure to repair East porch roof
deteriorated fascia on building; 16 34A (3), failure to install exterior
lighting for Southeast entry steps; 16 33A (9)a, failure to install solid
core doors deadbolts; i6 35A (1)c, failure to repair /replace
deteriorated primary windows; 16 34A (2)c, failure to install or repair
screens; 16 37A (1), failure to assure property is maintained in
accordance with City Codes; 16 35A (4), failure to repair deteriorated
chimney; 16 35A (6), renting living unit with known Code violations
after failing to make repairs.
Brief History Review: Orders issued July 19, 1996 following neighbor
complaints (See Letter) A final notice was
issued August 27, 1996 for noncompliance. This dwelling unit was
vacant at time of initial inspection a correction notice placard was
attached to dwelling on July 22, 1996. Additional inspections revealed
no compliance. Following several contacts with Mr Masse he
submitted a schedule of corrections dated February 28 1997 with a
completion date the end of May 1997. On February 28, 1997 Mr
Masse asked if he could rent this unit. I explained to him that he
could if the violations were corrected expeditiously per schedule. On
June 5, 1997 an inspection revealed the dwelling unit was occupied
but only (1) one violation out of (11) eleven had been corrected. It
was also noted property was again strewn with debris garbage and
the grass was in excess of 8 inches in height. There has been no
contact from Mr Masse since February 28, 1997.
