Dear Bruce:
I'd like to address a number of items you shared with my Secretary,
Shirley:
1) I have never had any electrician or maintenance man do
any electrical work at 341 Saratoga since I have owned
that property.
2) You indicated to Shirley that the floor in the basement
needs to be replaced. It is my intent to rip out any
parts of the basement that resembles a room, as appar-
ently the tenant mistook these areas as being occupiable.
3) 1 will make sure that there are downspout extensions so
the water runs away from the house. I will make sure I
get a Permit for the water heater.
4) I will take care of the shower and stall as you request.
5) With respect to #21 of the list, my maintenance man in-
dicates that the sink just gives the false impression
that it is coming off the wall, but is, in fact, very
firmly secure. It is my hope that we could just close
in and seal the area around the sink. Please let me know.
I have previously given you an update and as you can see, I've
been giving your list diligent attention and expect to have every-
thing completed in the very near future.

1 16 -33 (7) All smoke detectors have no batteries including the one in
the basement.
2. 16 -33 (6) Handrails are required on the steps from the kitchen to the
basement and on the lower portion of the front steps to the
second floor.
3. 16 -34 (3) A cover is missing on the wall receptacle in the front hall.
4. 16 -34 (3) Illegal Romex has been installed in the basement over the
world bench and washing machine.
5. 16 -34 (3) The cover is missing on the wall switches in the rear stair
well.
6. 16 -34 (3) A GFI wall receptacle is required within six feet of the
NEC210' bathroom sink.
7. 16 -34 (2a) The required light and ventilation requirements for the
front basement bedroom have not been met. Proper light
and ventilation shall be supplied for the room.
8. 16 -34 (4) Screens in good condition shall he supplied for all open
able windows so that the ventilation equals 4% of the floor
areas.
9. 16 -34 (3) Illegal Romex has been installed in the f'rst floor •-droom

10. 16 -35 (1) The unkeyed ceiling plaster in the living room shall be
repaired to a sound condition or removed and replaced.
11. 16 -35 (1) The deteriorated floor in the Southwest bedroom shall be
replaced due to damage caused by water infiltration into
the basement.
12. 16 -35 (lb; All rainwater shall be drained from the roof so as not to
cause unreasonable dampness in the walls, ceiling or floor
of a habitable room. Gutters and downspouts shall be in-
stalled or repaired and any steps required to stop water
infiltration into the basement shall be taken.
13. 16 -35 (d) The Southwest basement bedroom door shall be replaced.
14. 20 -8A A new waterheater has been installed in the basement without
permit:
15. 16 -35 (3) The runoff tube from the waterheater releif valve is too
short and shall extend to within six inches of the floor.

16. 16 -33 (7) The smoke detectors have been disconnected in the unit.

kept clean. The shower stall shall be replaced.

shall be repaired, scraped and painted,

the wall and shall be made secure.

walls and ceilings of the unit shall be repaired or re-
placed.
23. 16 -34 (3) Screens shall be supplied for all openable windows so the
area of the screens equals 4% of the floor area.
24. 16 -35 (Q) A door knob shall be installed on the front entry door
at the top of the stairs.
