Oshkosh Parks Department,
The Full Throttle Walleye Series is interested in reserving the Menominee Park boat
launch area for a fishing tournament on Saturday June 6th. Anglers would launch from
Menominee Park and then return later in the day for the weigh in. We would like to use
the area adjacent to the launch site (where other tournaments are held) to host the weigh
in festivities.
Full Throttle Outdoors is a non denominational, faith based team Walleye fishing series
based out of Neenah. We have a stage, several tents (10x10) and one or two boats we'll
be displaying at the event. Anglers will leave from the park in the morning at
approximately 5:30 -6:00 AM and then return in the afternoon around 3:00 PM. All of the
weigh in equipment, stage and boats would be set up the day of the event and taken down
the same day. We will not be serving any alcohol at our event.
If you have any questions please contact Mark Derricks at 920 -858 -0558.

Mr. Mark Rohloff, City Manager

Oshkosh WI 54903 -1130
Dear Mr. Rohloff :
The Oshkosh Yacht Club will be hosting three regattas in Oshkosh in 2009. The first is
our fourth annual Xtreme "X" Boat Invite Regatta for youth sailors up to age 16 on
Monday, July 13 and Tuesday, July 14, 2008. Last year's Xtreme Regatta drew 60
participants and their families from all over Wisconsin.
The second regatta the Oshkosh Yacht Club is hosting in the City is the 2009 "A" Class
National Regatta from Thursday, June 25, 2009 through Sunday, June 28, 2009. There
will be approximately 30 "A" class boats competing and 30 power boats for judging,
safety and spectators. We expect up to 250 people here in Oshkosh for the event.
The third regatta the Oshkosh Yacht Club is very excited to bring to the City is the 2009
National "E" Scow Championship from Thursday, September 9, 2009 through Sunday,
September 13 This Regatta should draw over 50 `B" class boats from all over the
country, and approximately 30 power boats for judging, safety and spectators. This event
should bring an additional 250 people or more into Oshkosh this fall.
The Oshkosh Yacht Club was chosen to host the "A" National and "E" National
Championship Regattas because of the tradition that surrounds the city and scow sailing.
The OYC was founded in 1869 and is one of the founding clubs of the Inland Lakes
Yachting Association.
For all three Regattas the boats will be housed at Miller's Bay and will be raced on Lake
Winnebago directly east of Menominee Park. We have requested the following items
from the Parks Department: trailer and boat parking in the field north of the parking lot,
tent placement with electricity, chairs and tables on the lawn south of the motor boat
launches, and reserved docks along the south end of the bay. We plan to moor the

competing boats as well as power boats in and along the south end of the bay through out
the Regattas.
We have been working with Tom Stephany in the Parks Office to address the details and
ensure each event's success. We request that the city approve our plan for the Xtreme
Invite Regatta, the "A" National and the "E" National Championship Regattas. These
events will bring many to our city to sail or spectate. We will be able to showcase our
most valuable asset; the water. There will be a great deal of media coverage from the
start to the finish for all events.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to call. My phone number is
426 -2645. Thank you.

PAINE
ART CENTER GARDENS
December 3, 2008
Mr. Richard Wollangk
City Manager
City of Oshkosh
P.O. Box 1130
Oshkosh, WI 54903 -1130
Dear Mr. Wollangk;
The Paine Art Center and Gardens is preparing for next year's Faire on the Green event to be held on
Sunday, July 12, 2009. The event brings thousands of people to Oshkosh and in particular to the area
where the Paine is located. In addition to the number of people who come to enjoy the event, there are
over a hundred vendors who come and participate in the event.
Our request is as such:
1. That both Algoma Boulevard (between New York Avenue and Congress Avenue) and Congress
.Avenue (between Algoma Boulevard and Elmwood Avenue) be closed from 5 a.m. until 9 a.m.,
the time that the event begins while vendors unload their items at the start of the day and again
from 4 5 p.m. while vendors load their items at the end of the day.
2. Once the event begins; we would like. Congress Avenue (between Algoma Boulevard.and
Elmwood Avenue) to remain close to allow for festivities in. the street as well as maintain the
safety of those who wish to enjoy the event and the Paine grounds.
3. We understand it is necessary for Algoma Boulevard to remain open during the hours of the event
to allow for traffic to move freely on Algoma Boulevard. However, we are requesting that the east
lane be coned off as a loading lane, allowing vehicles the capability to park briefly along the
terrace so they may pick up the items they may have purchased during the day. This would still
allow for two lanes of traffic, the center and west lanes to remain open on Algoma Boulevard.
4. In addition, we are requesting that handicap parking be allowed on the east side of Algoma
Bouievard between New York Avenue and the area of the event and that signs -be placed
indicating such.
Staff members will be working the event and the Auxiliary Police Department will be asked to be on hand
to help with traffic flow and security.
I appreciate your consideration of this request at the city council meeting and ask that you inform me of
the decision at your earliest convenience. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 920-
235 -6903 e,xt. 22 or dpeitzgthepaine.org Thank you for.your time,and your efforts in helping to make
this event 'run as smoothly as possible.
Sincerely,
Doris Peitz
