You were sent the results of this review with pictures of pecific violation(s) on August 8, 2007. A schedule of repairs was agreed upon but, to date, has not been met, therefore, the ollowing violations have been forwarded to this office. kem # 1 Code MUN 17-36A Compliance No Compliance Date 09/25/2008 Description he exterior of every structure or accessory structure shall be maintained by the owner, occupant or person authorized to use same free of nditions reflective of deterioration and/or inadequate maintenance. Areas where paint is chipping/peeling shall be repaired by scraping and 08/26/2008 inting or covering with a weather resistant material. The roof is in poor condition and needs to be replaced. Please be sure to obtain a uilding permit prior to starting the roof. Last Updated summary II violation(s) must be corrected by their specified compliance date(s). If compliance cannot be met by the date(s) noted, a ritten schedule must be submitted before the first due date and approved by this office. Failure to contact this office or ubmit and adhere to a reasonable schedule of repairs may result in further action by the City. A re-inspection of your property o verify compliance is required. Vernon by staff of the City of Oshkosh Planning Services Division. This letter identified issues on your property that need to be addressed in order to improve the appearance and condition of your property and the overall neighborhood. Per our conversation with you we have established reasonable and mutually agreed upon dates by which the property conditions at 661 Mt. Vernon St. will be addressed. They are as follows: 1. Condition of exterior -chipping paint -missing /cracked areas (17-36A) -for soffit /fascia /trim surfaces - 2/8/08 -siding is cedar with no chipping paint per owner - ~ tti~.e.~ a/g/ors 2. Roofing condition -deteriorated /curling shingles -missing shingles (17-36A) - 2/8/08 - Ear g~g/mss 3. Parking /storing vehicles and trailers in areas not designated for parking or lawns (30-36A(4)) - vehicle on gravel per owner -please note driveways and parking areas shall be maintained and grass/weed free (17-36A) - 2/8/08 It is recommended that all remaining unfinished wood step surfaces be finished for preservation and to improve the appearance of the property and overall neighborhood. Please check with the Inspection Services Division to verify whether or not a permit is required to address the above conditions and, if applicable, make sure that permits are obtained. All inspectors maintain office hours between 7:30 - 8:30 am and 12:30 - 1:30 pm, and can be contacted at 236-5050. The Planned Development Overlay for the Near East Neighborhood approved by the Common Council requires that the above items shall be addressed in a manner that reflects the general historic architectural character of the area and that building plans be subject to review and approval by the Department of Community Development prior to building permit issuance.
