Gohde, Assistant Director of Public Works DATE: December 4, 2008 RE: Change Order #2 for Public Works Contract No. 08 -06; Concrete Sidewalk (New and Reconstruction) BACKGROUND Change Order #2 for Contract 08 -06 is scheduled for consideration by the Common Council at the December 9, 2008 meeting. The contract was originally awarded to Fischer -Ulman Construction of Appleton in March 2008. This change order finalizes all quantities to the units actually installed. ANALYSIS All construction for this contract has been completed and final measurements taken. Any additional work items required to complete the project are included. The actual measured quantities are entered and the final result is a decrease to the contract. FISCAL IMPACT Funding for the project was in the 2008 Capital Improvement Budget. The contract has been decreased by $26,618.31. RECOMMENDATIONS I recommend approval of the Change Order #2 to Contact No. 08 -06 for a decrease of $26,618.31 to Fisher -Ulman Construction.
