CHRONOLOGY OF EVENTS LEADING TO ORDER ON THIS PROPERTY
On June 2, 2005 while talking to Pam the City Clerk I was given a list of unlicensed
cars by the apparent owner of this property. The list noted unlicensed vehicles at
1037 Arthur, 722 Dove and a Van Buren address. He had previously turned in 1008
Sawyer. This individual himself was previously ordered to remove and unlicensed
vehicle from his property in the past. While looking for his reported addresses I also
found several more properties with the same violation. When viewing his complaint
at 1037 Arthur I noted his house (see photos) at 1033 Arthur was in dire need of
paint and maintenance. Violations were also noted at 1027 Arthur of a minor issue
(flat tire on licensed vehicle) and no order was issued. The driveway is a shared
drive between 1027 and 1033. I traversed along the center property line between the
two properties and took photos of both properties. The worst being 1033 Arthur. I
figured 1027 would probably like to see 1033 being maintained. Orders were not
written on 1037 as the vehicle had a current plate. Orders were not issued on 1027
as the violations were minor. When I arrived back in the office I forwarded photos
to the City manager since he was well aware of the individual. He instructed me to
do as I would do on any property with the same conditions. At 2:45 on June 7, the
individual confronted me in the parking lot with a tirade of accusations of
harassment and “didn’t I have enough to do with rental rental properties.” He came
close to me calling the police for disorderly conduct. He has also apparently applied
for assistance from Ken.
