Chemicals are for Water Filtration and Wastewater Treatment Plants. ANALYSIS Bids were reviewed with Steve Brand Superintendent of Utilities and Purchasing. The following bids as indicated are recommended for council award. Chlorine: Hydrite Chemical $565.00 tn. Aluminum Sulfate: General Chemical $445.87 tn. Ferrous Chloride: .725 lb. Kemira Companies Inc. Liquid Odor Control: $2.288 gl. Siemens Water Tech. Corp. Liquid Polymer: Ashland Specialty Chemicals .471b and Dry Polymer: Ashland Specialty $1.75 lb. Note: the quanity difference of material on the polymer bid for Wastewater is the result of how many pounds it takes to treat wastewater for a year with each vendors product. FISCAL IMPACT Funding for the chemicals will be from their respective utility accounts. RECOMMENDATION Council to award chemical bids as indicated in the analysis section.
