She then complained about her two neighbors, who have lights shining in her windows. I told her I would go out and take a look, but I will also be inspecting her lights and if they were still in violation, she would receive a municipal citation. I advised her that the light fixtures she had installed are designed as flood lights, and they probably would not comply with the ordinance, as I advised her when I visited her property One evening in mid-November. She indicated that her family unit had no money coming in, and replacing the bulbs was the best she could do. I told her that she should tum the lights off until she could change them, at which time she became upset with our line of conversation, and asked to speak with Jackson. Before our conversation ended, she gave me her neighbor's address to complain about their lights. In order to obtain compliance, the flood lights on motion sensors, or other exterior lights must be re-oriented to keep light on site, versus casting light off site. The lighting elements must be screened or shield, not to be visible from neighbors.Failure to comply or any future noncompliance may result in the issuance of municipal citations for violations of the City Municipal code.
