Building, Heating & Ventilation plans have been reviewed by this office for compliance with
important code requirements. The drawings are stamped "Construction may proceed." All
items that ore required to be changed by this letter must be corrected before comm'eneing
that part of the work. This approval is not a Building Permit. Necessary city permits
must be secured before commencing work.
You are hereby advised that the owner, as defined in Chapter 101.01(1) of the Wisconsin
State Statutes, is responsible for all code requirements not specifically cited herein. Code
requirements are set forth in Chapters 50 through 64 of the rules of the Department of
Industry, Labor and Human Relations.
The building will be inspected during construction and a final inspection will be made after
completion to insure complete compliance with city and state codes.
The architect, professional engineer, builder or owner shall keep at the building, as evidence
of approval, one set of plans bearing the stamp of approval.
ILHR 50.12 Roof truss plans must be submitted to this office and be approved prior to install-

ation. An examination fee will be required. Plans .
must be submitted with a completed SB-118
form from the building designer.
ILHR 53.10, 1LHR 53.11, Lintels are to be provided in accordance to calculations.
ILHR 54.07 Safe and continuous passageways at least 3'8" wide shall be provided at all exits.
ILHR 54.001 Building capacity is 74 persons.
ILHR 64.67 Exhaust hood duct shall be protected with insulating material to withstand a flue
temperature of not less than 1000° F. An automatic suppression system in accordance to
s ILHR 64.67(6) shall be provided.

ILHR 54.06(2) Exit lights shall be provided over all exit doors except the principal
entrance. Additional exit lights shall be provided as necessary to direct the occupants
to the exit doors.
ILHR 52.04(10) The international symbol for barrier-free environments shall be placed
at all entrances indicoting the location of the nearest accessible entrance and accessible
toilet facilities.
ILHR 50.12(4) Heating and ventilation calculations shall be provided (including transmission
and ventilation losses, and a summary of the total building heat loss expressed in Btu/hour.
Sign approvals are not included. It appears sign setbacks do not comply unless a variance
is granted by the Board of Zoning Appeals.
