HomeMy WebLinkAboutLetter (sanitary sewer) - 10/29/1991O.IHKC~H City of Oshkosh ON THE WATER 10/L9/91 Robert Yoeschl 711 Kirkwood Oshkosh Wl 54901 Dear Mr. Poeschl~ City sanitary sewer has recently been made available to your property located at 711 Kirkwood in the City of Oshkosh. Wisconsin Administrative Codes Chapter ILHR 83~ ss. ILHR 83.01(2)(b) requires that when municipal sewer becomes available to a building intended for human habitation or occupancy an individual connection to the public sewer must be made and the private sewage system serving the building shall be properly abandoned. When the onsite system is functioning properly and not creating a health risk to the community the time limit to affect connection to the public system is one year from the date the sewer becomes avail.ab.le. Sewer was made ava;lilable to .your property on 3/01/91. If the public water main is also available to the property an individual connection must be provided to the immediate inside of the building foundation. This requires that an individual water service pipe be connected to the city water main and extended into the building. At present there is not a requirement to make use of the public water supply, so a current well supply may be maintained at the owners choice. When a well supply is used in a building connected to the public sewer, a meter must be installed on the well supply. This provides the City a means to bill for sewer use. If you have any questions concerning this maters please feel free to call me at 236-5049, Sincerely, Richard Wood Plumbing Supervisor
