BILLS It is recommended that the bills, as audited and presented by the Director of Finance, be approved for payment. 2. 2008 BASS FEDERATION FISHING TOURNAMENT Request permission to grant approval to the Oshkosh Convention & Visitors Bureau to utilize the east parking lot area of Riverside Park to park boats for the 2008 B.A.S.S. Federation Nation Northern Divisional Fishing Tournament from Tuesday, August 12, through Saturday, August 16, 2008, from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., in accordance with the attached letter of request. 3. LABOR DAY CELEBRATION & CAR SHOW Request permission to grant approval to the Winnebago County Wisconsin Labor Council to utilize South Park and facilities from Sunday, August 31 through Monday, September 1, 2008, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., for their annual Labor Day Celebration and Car Show, in accordance with attached letter of request. 4. UNITY PICNIC Request permission to grant approval to the Solutions Recovery Club to utilize their parking lot at 621 Evans Street on Saturday, September 6, 2008, from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m., for their Unity Picnic, in accordance with the attached letter of request. 5. ALCOHOL & DRUG FREE SOBER FEST Request permission to grant approval to the Solutions Recovery Club to utilize their parking lot at 621 Evans Street on Saturday, October 18, 2008, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., for their Alcohol and Drug Free Sober Fest, in accordance with the attached letter of request. 6. BLOCK PARTY Request permission to grant approval to the residents of Evans Street to close Evans Street, from Irving Avenue to Lincoln Avenue, on Saturday, August 23, 2008, from 12:00 noon to 10:00 p.m., for their neighborhood block party, in accordance with their recently submitted Block Party Request Form. 7. STUDENT MOVE -IN DAY Request permission to grant approval to the UW- Oshkosh Police Department to change various streets in the city to one -way streets on Sunday, August 31 and Monday, September 1, 2008, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., to assist with the student move -in, in accordance with the attached letter of request. 8. BLOCK PARTY Request permission to grant approval to the residents of Olive Street to close Olive Street, from Murdock Avenue to Columbia Avenue, on Friday, August 15, 2008, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., for their neighborhood block party, in accordance with their recently submitted Block Party Request Form. 9. The first event will be a Parking Lot, Driveway Dance with DJ, this event will be Friday August 15, 2008 at 621 Evans Street in the parking lot between Evans and Bowen streets, and will be from 4PM to IOPM. Food and refreshments will be served. Games will be available for children and adults. The second event will be a Unity Picnic, this event will be for persons in Recovery, their family and friends and will be open to the public. It will be held on Saturday September 6, 2008 from Noon to 6PM there will be food and refreshments also games for children and adults. This event will also be held at 621 Evans Street in the Parking lot. The third event will be a Alcohol and Drug free Sober fest, This event will also be held at 621 Evans Street, on Saturday October 18, 2008 from 1PM to 8PM. There will be speakers from different recovery 12 step programs in the Oshkosh area. Food and refreshments will be available. We would like the support of the council for these events; The Solutions Recovery Club really appreciates the support during past years when these events were being held on behalf of the Kornerstone Recovery Club.
