Smoke detectors are required on all floors including the basement. Tenants claim there have never been smoke de- tectors during their tenancy. 2. 16-33 (6) Handrails are required on both sides of the front steps & on the basement stairs and rear exit stairs. 3. 16-34 (1) The kitchen heat duct has been disconnected from the furna 4. 16-34 (2) Both bathrooms require ventilation.
