5/24/00 Call received from owner -set up inspection
5/31/00 Inspection made reveals severe structural deterioration. Explained to the owner that due to the non-
conforming set-backs and the fact that the damage exceeds 50% the value of the building, we
would require a variance to repair and properly reconstruct this building. The owner agreed that it was
beyond repair and in fact had contractors tell her the same thing in the past. She agreed to vacate the
building and wanted to try and sell the property to someone who could afford to tear it down and build new.
6/26/00 Voice mail from Vicki Venus stating she is moving out the end of August and trying to sell the house to be

12/07/00 Call made to Vicki Venus (owner) 233-7275 -disconnect
Call to City water utility revealed water has been shut off at curb on Nov 6, 2000. The water department
indicated the last bill was sent to a~ ~ Ui ~ n+h e.,o
Call to Information gave a phone number for a Mark Venus at 411 W 10th, (920) 233-8303.
Call made to this number -spoke to Vicki Venus (owner of 2313 Jefferson) explained that I had not heard
from her in a while and was checking to see if she had any immediate plans for the property she owns on
Jefferson. She indicated it was vacant, and she is living with her brother at this number. She said the
water is off, but she is storing some furniture in the building on Jefferson. I explained that we would be
issuing a raze notice and working toward eventually tearing down this building. I explained this may take
some time, so she would be able to contract with someone to raze the building for her, which would most
likely cost less than if City razes the building, in which case the costs are passed on to her, and assessed
against the property. She explained that both neighbors were interested in buying the property but were
working to come up with the money. I explained she would be kept informed and asked where she
wanted any information mailed. She asked that we mail anything to her brothers home where she is
staying. 411 W 10th, Oshkosh, W 154902. I asked her to let us no if anything develops in her efforts to
find a buyer for the property.

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the one-story wood frame house
situated on the following described property, to wit:
Lot Twenty-two (22) and the East ~ of a vacated alley lying
West of and adjacent to said Lot 22 and between the extended
North and South lines of said Lot 22, all in Block Eleven (~_1)
in SECOND ADDITION TO PLAT OF THE INTER URBAN LAND CO., in the
Fifteenth Ward, City of Oshkosh, Winnebago County, Wisconsin.
Which premises are owned by you and known as, 2313 Jefferson
Street, Oshkosh, Wisconsin has become damaged to such an
extent as to be dangerous, unsafe and unsanitary; otherwise
unfit for human habitation, occupancy or use; is in danger of
structural collapse; and is in a condition making it
unreasonable to repair the same.
THEREFORE, you are hereby ordered to raze and remove this
building within thirty (30) days from the date of service of
this order upon you.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that this order is served upon you
pursuant to the terms and provisions of Section 66.0413
Wisconsin State Statutes and in such case made and provided.
If you shall fail or refuse to comply within the time
prescribed in this notice, said building shall be razed and
removed by the City of Oshkosh; and the cost of such razing
and removal shall be charged against the property, shall be a
lien thereon, and shall be assessed and collected as a special
tax.

YOU ARE FURTHER ORDERED AND NOTIFIED that should you fail to
comply with this order to remove any personal property or
fixtures in the above described structure(s) in accordance
with Sec. 66.0413(1)(1) and 66.0413 (1)(j), Wis. State Stats.,
within 30 days from the date of service of this order upon you
the City of Oshkosh may store the same, or may sell it, or if
it has no appreciable value may destroy the same. In case the
property is stored and the amount paid for storage shall be a
lien against such property and against the real estate and
shall be assessed and collected as a special tax against the
real estate if the real estate is owned by the owner of the
personal property and fixtures. If the property is stored and
not claimed by the owner it may be sold at the expiration of
6 months after it has been stored.
