RE: Cars
Cheryl,
The housing inspector issued a municipal citation today, a multi-day violation, dating pack to Tom's first call to our office,
on December 10th (I believe). The judge mayor may not accept the multi-day citation, since sometimes they do not
accept them if the housing inspector himself (or I) did not observe the violation on the individual days noted in the citation.
As an alternative, you or Tom could be subpoenaed to testify, but 1 have asked the Housing Inspector not to do this, unless
you indicate a desire to verify the violation on each of the days noted on the citation.
Since this is a repeat of an earlier citation (which we reduced because they agreed to take care of their property), this
citation adds up to a substantial amount of money (over $2000), which the housing inspector has indicated he will not
reduce to a one-day fine.
Also, I don't know much about 7-up, nothing formal has been submitted to this office.
Matt Tucker

Subject: Cars
Hi Matt,
It seems the people next door are playing musical cars again. There has been
a burned up (or so it looks) Elcamino that he brought in on a trailer and said
he needed it for parts and it would be only here until last week. It is still
there. There is a truck in the garage, the garage door is half up with a tarp
hanging to the ground. There was a bronco parked behind the Elcamino but that
left this morning, Craig now has a truck he inherited from his grandfather
and she is driving some little gray car since they towed her little convertible
away. For a few weeks there was a snowmobile in the yard that he worked on at
night and loved revving the engine. Spent on night zooming it around the yard
across the street. Is that legal to do in the city? Don't know where the
machine is now. This weekend there was also a bronco type vehicle parked on the
lawn at the end of the driveway (four vehicles in the driveway and thenthe one
on the lawn)and Saturday night they just left it on the street parked in front
of our house instead of parking on the lawn.
Have to admit with all the cars in the driveway they don't have to shovel.
Wish they spent as much time shoveling their sidewalk and putting things away as
they do collecting stuff for the yard.
Guess come spring we will be looking at a fence but until then is there
anything the city can do about the array of vehicles?
Also noticed someone drives into the old 7 -up lot and then cuts across behind
the house across the street from us. Only saw this twice when they were
running the snowmoblile so no clue.
If they were quiet vehicles and didn't go in and out so much maybe we all
wouldn't notice them so much.
Let us know what's up.

Thanks.
