The submittal has been CONDITIONALLY APPROVED. The owner, as defmed in Chapter 101.01(10), Wisconsin Statutes, is responsible for compliance with all code requirements Key Hem(s) I Conditions: · IBC 716.2.2 Concealed wall spaces. Fire blocking shall be provided in concealed spaces of stud walls and partitions, including furred spaces, at the ceiling and floor levels and at 10-foot (3048 tnm) intervals both vertical and horizontal. Revised Wall section B / A500 still does not show requiredfire blocking at ceiling level. Please make sure fire blocking is properly installed. · IECC 802.2.7 Slabs on grade. The minimum thermal resistance (R-value) ofthe insulation around the perimeter of the slab floor shall be as specified in Table 802.2(1), 802.2(2), 802.2(3) or 802.2(4). Provide R-value for the thermal break material specified as 45# felt in section 1 / S200. · 1202.2 Attic spaces. Enclosed attics and enclosed rafter spaces formed where ceilings are applied directly to the underside of roof framing member shall have cross ventilation for each separate space by ventilating openings protected against the entrance ofrain and snow. Blocking and bridging shall be arranged so as not to interfere with the movement of air. A minimum of 1 inch (25 mm) of air space shall be provided between the insulation and the roof sheathing. The net free ventilating area shall not be less than 1/150 of the area of the space ventilated, with 50 percent of the required ventilating area provided by ventilators located in the upper portion of the space to be ventilated at least 3 feet (914 mm) above eave or cornice vents with the balance of the required ventilation provided by eave or cornice vents. Ventilation of the space above the fiberglass attic insulation is required to be vented per the requirements of this section. · Note: Per discussion with general contractor, there is the possibility that the fiberglass insulation maybe substituted with foam insulation on the roof deck. If this change is made, verify compliance with Chapter 26 requirements for a thermal barrier or meeting the requirements of the exception for blocked joints on wood structural sheathing.
