Enclosed is a complaint which we received from the party listed
above concerning an unsatisfactory rental transaction with you.
The complaint makes the following allegations which, if true,
would appear to constitute violations of Chapter Ag 134,
Wisconsin Administrative Code, the state's residential rental
practices law:
Failure to disclose to tenant all uncorrected building and
housing code violations of which landlord has received
notice from code enforcement authorities. (Ag 134.04(2)(a))
Eviction of a tenant in retaliation for reporting a housing
code violation, joining a tenants' union, or asserting legal
rights specifically accorded to tenants under state or local
law. (Ag 134.09(5))
A copy of Ag 134 is enclosed for your review.
Violations of Ag 134 can be the subject of civil or criminal
prosecution by the State of Wisconsin. In addition, any person
suffering monetary loss as a result of Ag 134 violations may sue
to recover twice the amount of such loss, together with costs and
attorney's fees.
