ProblemNiolation of: 16-35A (6), allowing occupancy of a dwelling
unit with uncorrected code violations, several ordered corrected in 1993
to a previous owner.
Brief History Review: Orders issued December 11, 2000 to new
owners of property following a tenant complaint. Review of the files
revealed orders had been issued on this property in 1993 to a previous
owner. The dwelling remained vacant for a long period and further
enforcement of the 1993 order was not done. In December, the
occupants called to complaint of a backed up sewer and an inspection
v{as made. In revie",ring the file tbe outstanding QrderSwereU9Jed an(t
submitted to the new owners included in a new order. To date the
owners have not been in contact nor have they made exterior or reported
inside repairs. They have continued to rent this dwelling with these
uncorrected violations. Several final notices have been issued with dates
specified to confirm compliance. No confirmation has been
forthcoming. Reinspection May 31, 2001 revealed uncorrected
violations and a lack of property maintenance. I am requesting 15 days
of renting a dwelling with uncorrected code violations.
