The scope of work must itemize the various aspects of work to be performed as well as provide a cost associated with each aspect. For example, per our discussions, it is understood you plan to perform work that includes (but not necessarily limited to these areas): gutting the present house, raising the building and installing various areas of foundation, wall replacement and/or reframing, reshingling, siding, windows, redrywalling, electrical, plumbing, HV AC. Please prepare a list of work to be performed and the fair market value of the costs associated with each of the items included in your scope of work. Detailed plans must also be submitted to give insight on how and where the various aspects of work will be performed. For example, where will foundations be installed, repaired or altered and provide details on how the foundation work be done to demonstrate the final product will comply with the Building Code. The plans must also include a scaled site plan (if not already received.) As discussed, once we have received a complete submittal, we will be better able to make a determination on approval or denial of your permit request. Until we receive a thorough submittal, all discussions on approval or denial of your permit request are speculative. We understand you are eager to move forward on your project and in the spirit of cooperation, this office's offer to issue a Building Permit to perform various gutting and demolition activities in preparation for future remodeling stands. However, issuance of such a permit is not to be construed as an indication that your application for repairs, additions and alterations to this house will be approved. As you are preparing the Scope of Work, Values and Plans, please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may develop.
