I'm enclosing a copy of a correction notice sent on May 17, 1995, by Housing Inspector Bruce Luedtke. The correction notice also has a further note, dated May 23, 1995, in which Mr. Luedtke notes that it was reinspected and that Mr. Kohls will finish cleaning up the property by May 31, 1995. The City Attorney has also reviewed your letter and he notes that, "Much of your concern rests in a civil court forum and falls outside the limited jurisdiction that the city government has concerning rental units. Under current Wisconsin law, overhanging. trees, carpenter ants, boards and leaves against your fence, and any damage caused by those particular problems, are issues specifically between property owners. You may wish to contact the Winnebago County Conflict Resolution Center at 236-4711 before consulting a private attorney and pursuing a civil lawsuit.
