Mortenson 128 West 22nd Avenue Oshkosh, WI., 54901 Dear Mr. Mortenson: It has come to the attention of this office that your building known as 820 F ra n k 1 inS tree t is a multiple occupancy dwelling with 3 separate living units. Through inspection, we have determined that proper second exits do not exist from one or more of the dwelling units and that there are no fire-rated enclosures surrounding the heating plant(s) and hot water heater(s). Second exits and fire-rated enclosures, with a few exceptions, have been required in buildings with three (3) or more dwelling units since 1914 by the Wisconsin Department of Industry, Labor and Human Relations Ind 57 and before 1914 by Ind 164, Existing Buildings. Therefore, you are requested to contact the Building Inspector's Office within 15 days to discuss plans for bringing your building into compliance.
