Mr &- MrS Brmkman PO Box 1265 Oshkosh WI 54902-1265 April 14, 1998 Re: Occupancy Status of309 D Brown and 414 Washington #4 Dear Mr. & Mrs. Brinkman; Per our most recent inspections of these two apartments, a Iemporary Occupancy fermit had been authorized by this office pending compliance with any outstanding orders on those apartments and respective buildings by the set deadlines. In our last inspection of309 D Brown St. on 2-16-98, some of the windows were sti11left to be corrected as well as screens provided and we agreed to approve the TOP subject to complying with the outstanding orders by the June 30, 1998 deadline. In the last inspection of 414 Washington Ave., unit #4, our inspectors noted concerns with how the windows had been repaired. Shortly after this inspection, Mr. Larson and Mr. Cook indicated the subject window(s) had been addressed in a manner more acceptable to our office. Based upon this confirmation, we are by this letter approving a Temporary Occupancy Permit for this unit, subject to complying with all outstanding correction orders by the designated deadline of June 30, 1998. I hope this clarifies the occupancy status for you. Something you may want to consider is having your contractor arrange for periodic inspections of the work he is performing at both of these buildings. In regards to the Frontenac, our last inspection was in February and as a result ofthis inspection, you made a decision to replace some ofthe windows, vs. repairing. It would be to your advantage to have this work inspected early to avoid any late discoveries that both your contractor and our office may not have anticipated. Additionally, we would like to know the status of providing screens at the Frontenac. We have fielded a recent complaint about lack of screens and Bruce advised them ,the screens are to be provided by June 30, 1998. Please call me at 236-5045 to update us on the status of these buildings and to arrange for inspections. cc: Gary Yakes
