Re: Meeting on April 1 , 1997
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Brinkman;
This letter is to simply recap our meeting on Tuesday, April 1. In reviewing the pending
Correction Notice it was clear you understand the nature of the correction action which must be
taken and have commenced repairs on some items, have made arrangements for repairs on some
items and are seeking bids on remaining items. Per our conversation the following was
determined:
Item 1: Ron Blanik will commence roof repairs once the weather has consistently
maintained 55 degrees F. This is due for completion on June 9, 1997. As indicated in
our meeting, if substantial work is done by this date, but is not completed dlle to
circumstances beyond your control, we will allow a reasonable extension. Please advise
us how much of the roof has been corrected and how much time you feel will be needed
to finish.
Item 4: You felt should be completed by the due date of May 9, 1997.
The rest of the noted corrections, while some repairs have been started, are subject to obtaining
bids and having contractors commence the work. A schedule. for completion for many of these
items must be submitted for approval if you feel the initial dates given will not be met. These
include the following:
Item 2: Window repairs.
Item 3: Dwelling unit entry/exit door repair/replacement. . Seeking bid.
Item 5: Masonry repairs. Seeking bid.
Item 6: Need to determine if exterior basement entrance is a required exit. If not may
abandon this stairwell, eliminating need for guardrail.
Item 7: Need to determine schedule.

Item 8: Dependent upon completion ofItem #1.
Item 11 : You have indicated the flooring in unit 309 D Brown has been replaced. We
will need to verify the flooring in the upper far west unit was replaced also.
Item 12: You indicated Ruck will be contacted for this work.
It is apparent you understand the nature of the corrections that must be made and it is your desire
to make the necessary corrections by November 1 st, 1997, but would like to complete them prior
to the end of August. If your scheduling for any of the correction items will not meet the dates
indicated on the notice, it is imperative for you to develop and submit for acceptance a written
schedule indicating what action will be taken to correct the items and a projected completion
date. Once this is received, Bruce Luedtke and I will review and provide input where needed. It
is our understanding, per our conversation, that any such schedule should be available by the end
of this month.
If you have any questions, please call me at 236-5045.
Sincerely;
