Oshkosh, WI 5490~ DEPPIRTMENT OF Project #96077/Monday, Apnl27, 199fOMMUNlTV DEVELOPMENT Present: Chuck Cook, Tom Brinkman, James Larson, Allyn Dannhoff, Bruce Luedtke the inspector. 1. Chuck Cook continues with window replacement, etc., and is approximately 90 - 95% complete. He is in the process of fine tuning window replacements and reworking windows. 2. Approximately 110 windows are new and the remainder which had solid wood, etc. have been reused in other parts of the building. 3. Chuck is in the process of obtaining painting bids for the exterior windows which have been previously primed. At that time he will also look at power washing the exterior of the building to remove any residual from construction and from the awnings that were removed last year. 4. Screens are on order. (Aluminum) 5. Painting contractor has been retained and hope to start this week pending weather. 6. Experimentation will still take place concerning wood consolidation at the sills. Inspectors reviewed and agreed with the process. 7. Initial wood consolidation has been accomplished on a number of the sills and weather stripping will be installed at the bottom of the windows that have the consolidation accomplished. 8. REMINDER FROM ALLYN TO BRINKMAN'S: Be sure on all of their buildings to remember to replace below rim faucet connections in tubs per code as they do work on these projects. 9. We've looked at 3-4 existing units with the inspectors this morning and all the window units are tight, work well, they all lock, there are a couple sash units that still need sash locks or adjustments because they do not have window weights and Chuck Cook's crew is working on this. 10. We walking entirely around the perimeter of the building and reviewed as many windows as possible, building inspectors seem to be pleased with the progress and that we're practically completed. " April 27, 1998 Page 2 11. Remaining items left are : painting, caulking, weather stripping at bottom of old windows, and any corrections on faucets. 12. NOTE TO BRINKMAN'S: Allyn Dannhoff stated that ifhe saw a permit come through his office that looked at replacing faucets on tubs then any remaining open items in this building would be accomplished. He is assuming that replacement faucets are in the process of being replaced as they need work or per apartment as they are available. Inspectors reminded us that the June 30th deadline still applies to any other remaining issues at this building listed above. Perhaps there needs to be some type of notification to the building inspection dept. and/or through Gary Yates that everything has been completed and a final sign off accomplished, so that any open issues are fmalized. This should be discus, sed with Atty. Yates, Allyn Dannhoff, Warren Kraft, etc. f30/(g tv w f...-e-~ ike..- 'f'rv~ec~s Ql'-e..- U~Ffe{-~ Ce- reI' tL~r-ec.~'(~",- -s kutcP 1..e. The inspectors reminded that the June 30th deadline applies also to the Washington building.
