Re: Open Correction Notice
I am writing this letter as a follow up to a Correction Notice that was issued on 1/26/07
for your property located 425 Merritt Ave. in Oshkosh. I have enclosed an updated copy
for your review as well as the original photos taken during your Near East Review that
indicate where specific repairs are needed. The only item remaining is #3 which has to
do with exterior maintenance. I'
Here is a list of the remaining required repairs:
1. The chimney (page 2)
2. Areas where paint is chipping/peeling need to be repaired by scraping and
painting or covering with a weather resistant material. (pages 2, 6 & 7)
3. Minor tuck pointing on the foundation. (page 3) .
4. The OSB installed on the porch needs to be removed. OSB is not an
appropriate exterior material and will not satisfy the requirements of the
Property Maintenance Code. If this is a temporary measure for the winter
months be advised, this will not be allowe.<t}n the future. If you wish to better
seal off your porch for the winter months finished exterior panels will be
required. If you wish to permanently enclose the porch area, please contact
me to find out what the requirements are.
I have issued an extension till 5/31/07 for completion of the above mentioned repairs (see
Correction Notice compliance date). I hope this will be enough time for you to get the
work done. I have tried numerous times to contact you directly but our schedules do not
line up very well and you have call blocker on your phone which doesn't allow me to get
through to you or an answering machine. Please send me written confirmation that you
agree to the extension date noted above on or before 3/31/07.

Re: Extension agreement
I have received your letter stating a new completion date for me to complete the
remaining required repairs. I am sending this letter to you as you asked. so that you
know that I agree to the date of 5/31/2007.
You stated in number four of your letter that if I wanted to permanently enclose my porch
to contact you for requirements. I would appreciate it if you could send me those
requirements. because I am interested in doing that.
Thank you for giving me this extension. I am sure I can comply with the noted repairs
that I need to do to my property at 424 Merritt Ave.
